This small yet quaint Portuguese restaurant is located in the west end of Toronto (one of four in the Greater Toronto Area). Although the restaurant is small in size, do not let this fool you, as the portions offered at this eatery are rather large.
As you enter the restaurant the casual yet ethnic culture is undoubtedly noticeable. The light music and simple cultural feel offers the restaurant a relaxing atmosphere as you enjoy your dinner. The prices are certainly more then fair and although the portions are abundant, the quality of food is standard. The house steak came in a bowl covered with home made chips which made it difficult to eat, but by the number of plates at each seat it was easy to separate your steak into another plate.
The menu was straightforward with one side in English and the other in Portuguese and there were also good options when it came to the size of food you wanted. Most meals had two sizes including small and large which is good for those who are not too hungry and want something on the lighter side.
The patio is available for those who have time to enjoy the outdoors in the summer months and for those who are in a rush, the take out counter is always a good option.
Overall, the simplicity of this restaurant is what makes it unique, and is a good place to dine with family or a loved one.
