This little chapel is located high on a hill in northwestern Aruba. Although it may be a little tricky to drive to, once there it is well worth the visit. Originally built in 1750, it is stated that this is the oldest church in the Caribbean.
Simplicity at its best, the Alto Vista Chapel is small, but the surrounding landscape and views of the northern coast are spectacular. Nothing more than dirt and cacti line the outside of this church, which makes it somewhat surprising that services are still held here.
