Aruba's most known landmark is the Natural Bridge found on the northern coast of the island. After years of crashing waves, the limestone had formed an arched bridge that spanned 100 feet wide and 25 feet high.
Sadly, in September 2005, just a few months before our trip, the bridge collapsed into the ocean and now only the large stone remains protrude out of the water as a reminder of what once was.
Even after its collapse, tourists still flock to this landmark as it is indeed spectacular, both the landscape and view of the sea. There even is a beach where you can relax and have a picnic. There also is a little rest station that serves food and drinks and a public washroom that charges 25 cents to use.
