Cosmos Cafe is located in Grand Allee, which is about a 20 minute walk from Bass-Ville. The area is outside the walled city and is the home to plenty of boutique stores and cafes lined up one after the other. Cosmos is located at the end of this strip.
On entry, the cafe is very modern and chic. The walls are illuminated with light that cycles through the colour spectrum attracting your attention. The ambient music is also distinctive. The cafe has a great atmosphere, expansive menu, and generally can be seen as a good hangout spot.
We made this one of our stops after a long day of walking, as we needed to rest. We decided to order something too. I had my usual coffee while Mike had a piece of cake, which was a cross between a Black Forest and a fruitcake. He found the cake to be delicious.
So if you are ever wandering the area of Grand Allee and in the mood for a stopover we would recommend Cosmos. Be prepared though, the service is not the greatest, they tend to be a little slow, but the tasty food and atmosphere makes up for it.
