Established by Albert Gilles and now owned and run by his children, the copper museum is a little gallery and shop where they produce copper art work and sell it. When you first arrive to the museum you will get an introduction to the history of the building, how it started, how they got where they were and what they are doing with the building now.
This introduction is followed by a live example of how the copper art is made, which leads to a guided or non-guided tour of all the art work in the studio. It is a small building so the whole tour should not take more then 35 minutes, but if you are someone who enjoys copper art than this museum will fascinate you.
All the art work is hand made and Albert Gilles passion for religion allowed him to recreate the life and events of Jesus Christ in approximately 40 detailed pieces. These can be found in the back room of the museum where they hang in chronological order.
Overall this tour was a nice touch as it was part of our package in the Country Tour however, it would not be something I would visit purely on its own. Although, if you are a copper enthusiast or just someone who enjoys art work, I would highly recommend this as a visit because it was appealing and offered some good merchandise for sale.
