Nothing beats relaxing in cool water in the hot summer months in Toronto. Add some waves, a relaxing lazy river and slides and you have Wild Water Kingdom in Toronto's northwest end. Boasting 100 acres of parkland, Wild Water Kingdom is designed for young and old, but be prepared for a lot of kids in July and August.
Consisting of 14 water slides of all forms, a half-acre wave pool, a quarter mile lazy river, mini-golf, bumper boats and a batting cage -- if you enjoy water activities then Wild Water Kingdom will satisfy your fix. For the little kids there is also a small water area called Dolphin Bay, which has miniature water slides as well as other activities to keep the kids cool. Lockers and food areas are also offered.
Admission to the park is $30, parking is $7 and a locker can be rented for $4 with a $5 deposit. Single and double tubes can also be rented (with a deposit) for the entire day and used on the waterslides and lazy river. There are also tubes offered at the individual rides for free, but you may have to wait in line to gain access to one, and sometimes they are a little flat.
Overall, a good way to enjoy the sun for a day and a great place to keep the kids entertained.
