The Heineken Experience is a multimedia adventure that is fun for both kids and adults (NOTE: Kids under 18 must be accompanied by an adult). For a 10 euro admission you get a self guided tour of the brewery, three drinks and a free souvenir.
Walking through the 3000 square metre brewery, you can find out some of the secrets to how the beer is made, about the history of the beer, and even take a look at the innovative advertising from the earlier parts of the century. This tour is a very modern blitz of multimedia information that seems to come at you non-stop as you move through the different exhibits.
One of the sections lets you stand in as if you are a beer bottle going through the assembly line being filled for delivery. As you watch the screen the ground shakes while the beer bottles are being filled and packed for a local party.
Midway through the tour and at the end, there are mini-bars that allow you to sample and enjoy crisp glasses of extra cold beer. A very good job was done to simulate a real bar setting and the beer served is better tasting then any Heineken I have had elsewhere.
All these exhibits bring you into the world of Heineken (some might call this a marketing blitz), which allows you to explore the beer at your own leisure. For sure this experience is worth the visit. It is fun, it keeps you entertained and of course the beer is great!
