For a super sandwich, you have to try Reuben's: Deli, Steaks, and Desserts restaurant. This restaurant located in the city centre has been a landmark of Montreal for over 25 years and serves a sandwich like no other. Mounds of smoked meat are piled higher and higher on top of each other to create a delectable gourmet sandwich that is sure to fill you up. The spices and flavours used are exceptional and the quality of food is evident. Although specialty sandwiches are their core business they also offer desserts, steaks, pizzas, and salads.
The casual dining restaurant offers mosaic flooring, black and tan leather booths, and art deco murals, which surround the diner. The music in the background is jazz and it fits the comradery experience. For lunch I had the Famous Reubens Sandwich, which was a savoury grilled sandwich on pumpernical bread, served a mile high, with smoked meat, melted swiss cheese and sauerkraut. Naturally it was scrumptious.
The prices are reasonable and you will be filled by the time the meal is over. Also, finding something on the menu that will suit your taste buds is effortless, except for the number of choices on the menu. Enjoy!
