One of the numerous watering holes found on Duval Street, Willie T's prides itself on its Mojito. But whatever your alcoholic preference may be, it sure will be satisfied here. Every day of the week offers some sort of special or happy hour, so be sure to ask or, if posted, a sign at the entrance will tell you the "deal of the day".
The covered bar area tries to resemble what one can call an old west style saloon with it's wooden, simplistic design. Then there is a larger eating area by a small stage where various performers entertain the crowd from time to time. On our visit it was Bahamian steel band (of one). In the front, by the street, is an umbrella-covered patio that allows you to enjoy the sun and watch the bustling action on the street.
Although, the bar may seem very casual, the quality of the food and service is surprisingly good. The selection is diverse and the food portion sizes will definitely fill you, even for lunch. With reasonable prices, we were glad to stumble across this bar.
We only stayed a short while for lunch and a drink, but enjoyed our conch soup and deli sandwich, which in terms of size, was more than what we expected. Washing the meal down were our 2 for 1 Bellini's that weren't too shabby.
From all the alternatives available on Duval, definitely a hidden surprise worth a stop.
