Food / Restaurants

The hotel has 4 restaurants and a sports bar. The sports bar is open 24 hours a day. There is mainly 1 large buffet restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner - Don Juan. We are not big buffet fans, but we have to say this was the one of best all-inclusive buffet restaurants we have been too. Regardless of the time of day, the choices are endless and the quality is superb. The staff is continually filling up the buffet and offering you drinks or cleaning up once you are done. The moment you put down your fork and knife they are there to clean up. Also, this restaurant is so big and there are so many food stations that we did not experience any long waits for any of the food, which was great. For dinner they rotate between different themes.

The buffet is so good that we actually preferred it more than any of the 3 reservation restaurants. Don't be fooled though, as they are not true a la crate. Reservations are done up to 2 days in advance and are done in the lobby between roughly 7am to like 2-3pm. Most of the restaurants have 2-4 different sittings for your preference.

There is a Japanese restaurant, which we did not go to. A steak house, which has a set menu of appetizers (salad, soup and other party style apps), main course and dessert. For the main course you can choose between one of 4-5 different kinds of meat. The quality is reasonable, but not exceptional, but we went here twice and it was our favourite of the 3 reservation restaurants. The last restaurant was like a Brazilian steak house. Again, it is a fixed menu of salad or soup to start, and then the server goes through all the tables and serves you 5 different meats one after the other that they cut from a skewer right there in front of you. Be prepared that things slip and some meat might land in your lap and not your plate like what happened to me. Lastly, you get a dessert.

As mentioned before, the restaurant options are typical of most all-inclusives, but definitely you should be pleased with the buffet where you will be spending most of your time eating.
